What brings you here?
Yearning to live more intentionally, richly, fully…
Longing to feel heard, supported, nurtured, and empowered…
Ready to make a change but unclear, stuck, or overwhelmed…
Looking for someone to help you navigate this messy, marvelous business of being human…
I believe:
You don't have to go it alone!
You can’t always think yourself through it … sometimes, you have to go deeper!
When we integrate ways of knowing, powerful shifts can happen.
Something magic happens when you feel safe enough to trust the process.
Small steps lead to big change.
You can live the life you long for!
My name is Dorothy...
I live in a little white house on the North Shore of Lake Superior. I dwell in symbol and narrative, dig conversation, weave community, and love helping others find more fulfilling ways of doing and being in the world! Knitting, kneading, composting, and collaging are some of my favorite hobbies...or metaphors! Water and trees are two of the most important re-occurring symbols in my life.
In my coaching work supporting clients’ transition and growth, I draw on training from Wisdom of the Whole Coaching Academy; a BA in Anthropology, Sociology, and Religion from Kalamazoo College; an MA in Sustainability from Arizona State University; and experience guiding wilderness retreats, leading women’s spirituality groups, teaching sustainability, brokering real estate transactions, and working in (and leaving) corporate settings.
Roots and Waves synthesizes the insight, training, and experience of over a decade. I am thrilled to offer a safe and supportive landing place to dig deep, weave meaning, grieve, celebrate, and tap into your innate wisdom.
